Rurutu offers a lot of path and tracks that permit pedestrians to cross the island. You can organize walk ride for the day, but also for few days if you bivouac on one of the southern beaches.

Be sure to obtain the pass from the landowner before. The makatea, on the old reef are very difficult to explore, because of the cutting edge, so be careful.
